Notes: One of only a handful of NZ grown Tempranillo’s, and certainly the only organic certified Tempranillo we could find, this Spanish varietal has been expertly nurtured by the wizards at Hans Herzog.
Strong, dark ruby in color. Powerful stonefruit aroma’s present alongside oak, chocolate and tobacco. Superbly balanced palate, combining fruity elements of dark cherry and ripe summer fruit compliment a backdrop of cigar box and spice.
A fantastic big, bold wine- this bottle will not disappoint.
Best enjoyed snuggled deep into a comfortable armchair, with the fire blazing. Drinking well now, but will further improve through until around 2022-2025
