Notes: It’s not often that a wine appears from relative obscurity, complete with probably my favourite label of the year, and blows away one of the most competitive varietal categories at the Organic Wine Awards. But, that its just what Tapi’s 2018 Sauvignon Blanc has done.
The Tapi is an unashamedly Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, it’s got that classic passion fruit, gauva and electric citrus fruit that the world has come to expect from the region. But, it pairs this with a rarely found elegance, richness, finesse and body that will keep you coming back for more.
Job well done Tapi. Unfortunately fairly hard to come by in New Zealand, as the wine is mostly shipped to Australia (bite tongue, no jokes). Drinking perfectly now but will develop well, until 2021.
