Notes: The Lowburn Riesling, the sweeter of Amisfield’s two Riesling offerings, comes in at 42mg/l of residual sugar, yet is crisp and clean with citrus blossom and mandarin aromas.
Rich in zesty apple, and lime flavours, honeysuckle and white flowers with a brilliant mineral finish. As elegant a Riesling as you will find anywhere in New Zealand (or further). Not to be missed. Perfect as an Aperitif, or with a cheese course.
I think this is drinking perfectly now, although could be worth holding a bottle or two back to see how the wine matures over the next 2-3 years. If you can hold on to it that long of course!
