Notes: The first wine of our 2014 tasting sessions that called for a cork-screw which in today’s market presents both as a novelty, and a point of difference! The aroma provides citrus in the form of lime and tropical notes such as melon set against a toasty oak backdrop. The palate finds substance to these aroma’s, with tropical notes balanced with a hazelnut, buttery oak, courtesy of the partial malolactic fermentation, providing complexity- and a long smooth finish.
Drinks well now, or cellar until 2016-18 to allow development and greater depths of complexity.
