Notes: Gold medal 3 vintages running, the consistency of the Templar is sensational. Once again the Templar hits all the notes you would expect to find in a snappy, tropical, crisp Marlborough Sav. Punchy aroma’s of grapefruit, gooseberries unfolding onto a backdrop of cut grass and floral nuances. Rich and with deep complexity to taste- traditional SB flavours of tropical fruits and stone-fruit blend with herbal and a flint like minerality.
Overall a well balanced, complex wine- well deserving of its third gold medal running! Tricky to get hold of, as these are often fully allocated, but well worth the effort of tracking a few bottles down.
Drinks well now or until 2018.
