Notes: The epitome of terroir, french for ‘from the land’, and used to describe the effects a vineyards geography has upon a wine. Black Estate’s winemaking allows such great expression of ‘terroir’, this wine is unmistakable in a large line-up even to the amateur palate.
A delicately complex aroma of ripe summer berries, floral nuances and a prevailing minerality. A unique wine on the palate as the berries unfold, and give way to fresh herbs and aromatic mineral notes rarely expressed so vibrantly in a Pinot Noir.
Drinks perfectly now, but will continue to unfold over the next 5-6 years.
